Port / Shipyard, Mining and Stockyard Equipment

MBE stepped into the business segment of Surface Mining Equipment and Stockyard Equipment from the mid 90’s in association with Poltegor Engineering Ltd Poland and into the segment of Port and Yard Cranes as a part of the ongoing diversification process. Subsequently, in January 2002, MBE signed a comprehensive License agreement with Kone cranes VLC Corporation, Finland (now called Konecranes PLC) for manufacturing Port and Shipyard Cranes in India under License. We also tied up with FAMAC, Poland for manufacturing Wagon Tipplers & Paddle feeders. MBE has achieved a series of significant milestones by manufacturing and installing some of the best performing state-of-the-art Surface Mining Equipment, Stockyard Equipment, Port and Shipyard Cranes for Indian Open Cast Mines, Major and Minor Ports and Shipyards and Power Plants.

Container Handling Cranes

MBE has supplied on an EPC basis 2 numbers 40T capacity container handling Rail Mounted Quay Cranes (Ship to Shore Cranes) to Haldia Dock Complex of Kolkata Port Trust in 2005. This makes MBE the only company in last 40 years to have supplied indigenously manufactured such crane which otherwise is an imported item monopolised by Chinese manufacturers.

Stockyard Machinery

  • Stacker, Reclaimer and Stacker cum Reclaimer (Ranging from 500 to 6500 tph Stacking and 300 to 5000 tph Reclaiming) MBE has since supplied more than 50 stacker reclaimers in India including 6000 tph stacker reclaimers to Adani Port, 4000 tph stacker reclaimers to Karaikal Port with 48m boom length and several others to clients like Paradip Port Trust, NTPC, BHEL, ACC, WBPDCL, APSEZL, Essar Group etc.
  • Wagon Tippler (Rotary type and Rotaside type as per latest RDSO G 33 Rev -1) In technical collaboration with M/s Famak of Poland , MBE developed its first rotaside wagon tippler along with side arm charger in 2008 and since then have supplied more than 15 wagon tippler sets to reputed clients like SAIL, NTPC, Sterlite Group, ACC, WBPDCL, BHEL etc. as per RDSO G-33 norms as well as the latest G-33 Revision 1 norms
  • Paddle Feeder of Various capacities as per system requirement. Successfully installed in SAIL IISCO.

Open Cast Mining Machinery

MBE ventured into Open Cast Mining Machinery and has supplied heavy duty machines of capacities that were hitherto not built by any Indian company. Prestigious orders from Neyveli Lignite Corporation saw MBE manufacturing the following:

  • 3 nos. Bucket Wheel Excavator of 700 ltr. capacity working satisfactorily with an output of 3400 m3/hr
  • 2 nos. Spreader of 4420 m3/hr capacity
  • Shiftable Conveyor of 20,000 TPH capacity with 2400 mm wide belt having drive of 6 x 1250KW, the highest capacity conveyor ever built in the country

Crawler Mounted Bucket Wheel Excavators

MBE is the first Indian Company to manufacture and commission 700 ltr. Bucket Wheel Excavator for Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. with design of M/s Poltegor Engg. Co. Ltd., Poland.

Two numbers 700 Ltr. Bucket Wheel Excavators were supplied by MBE to Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, which has achieved an all-time high record of equipment availability and productivity (during the year 2005), since the Company's inception.

Crawler Mounted Spreaders

McNally Bharat Engineering Co. Ltd. is the First Indian Company to manufacture and commission 4420m3 /hr Spreader of 950 Ton weight for Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. with design from M/s Poltegor Engg. Co. Ltd, Poland.

  • Shiftable conveyor system of 20,000 TPH (Highest Capacity in the Country), Conveyor belt of 2400 mm width (widest in the Country) to Neyveli Lignite Corporation
  • Shiftable conveyor system of 11,000 TPH , 1600 mm width Conveyor belt to Neyveli Lignite Corporation, India

McNally Bharat Engg. Co. Ltd. has the capability to design, manufacture and supply 1600 mm, 1800 mm, 2000 mm and 2400 mm wide Shiftable conveyor systems capable of handling overburden, hard abrasive Sand Stone, Clay and Hard Lignite.
